    Foundation

    Edoardo Mascetti founded the company. First electromechanical devices are produced.

  • 1960's

    First Steps

    Design and manufacture of the first television transceivers and analogic multiplexers.

  • 1970's

    Telecommunications

    First equipment for UHF telecommunications (3B3) and first microwave synthesized equipment (RT12); the company faces the European market.

  • 1980's

    Digital

    First digital radio equipment (RT20), first digital multiplexer (MN30) and first Element Management System. Company starts global expansion thanks to the introduction of small and medium capacity radio links (PDH).

  • 1990's

    High Capacity

    High-capacity microwave radio equipment (HS13 - SDH) and PMP devices are added to the catalogue; further expansion of trade and subsequent supply of turnkey solutions.

  • 2000

    World Wide Company

    With the explosion of the IP market, SIAE MICROELETTRONICA becomes a multinational company with numerous offices across all continents. The company establishes itself as a main Global Supplier to the leading multinational Telecom Groups.

  • 2010

    GIGABIT capacity

    In House developments of the System in Package "SIP" RF components initially applied the first millimetre wave radio operating at 80Ghz with Gigabit capacity.

  • 2015

    Founding of SM-Optics

    Founding of SM-OPTICS, a SIAE MICROELETTRONICA group company centred around a highly specialized optical R&D, expanding our technology and business horizons to any transport application.

  • 2020

    Artificial Intelligence

    The benefit of AI/ML automation applied to an SDN MW backhaul network for past performance, real time troubleshooting and future behavioural prediction.

  • Today

    O-RAN

    Joining O-RAN ALLIANCE on Apr 2022, SIAE MICROELETTRONICA contributes to the technical evolution of innovative, open and intelligent network architectures focusing on Radio Unit (RU) development for macro base stations.
