SIAE MICROELETTRONICA has joined O-RAN ALLIANCE

SIAE MICROELETTRONICA is pleased to announce that has joined O-RAN ALLIANCE, the world-wide leading community committed to the development of open, intelligent and fully interoperable radio access networks in the mobile market.

O-RAN ALLIANCE is the world-wide technology community of over 300 global telecom operators, vendors, research and academic institutions, established in 2018 with the mission of defining and building an open and interoperable ecosystem for virtualized mobile networks by providing complementary support for the specifications defined by 3GPP and other standardization bodies.

As a member of the O-RAN ALLIANCE, SIAE MICROELETTRONICA will contribute to the technical evolution of innovative, open and intelligent network architectures focusing on Radio Unit (RU) development for macro base stations leveraging its heritage. Based on 50+ years of  experience as provider of radio communication equipment for mobile network operators, the Italian R&D will deploy the most advanced technologies and architectures to serve the new O-RAN era ecosystem.

As a global leader in wireless technology, SIAE MICROELETTRONICA’s engagement with the O-RAN ALLIANCE is to actively support the future needs of mobile network service providers, and drive developments around future RAN architectures and open interfaces.
