MILAN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In the effort of renewing and expanding the existing telecommunication infrastructure ENEL ENDESA selects SIAE MICROELETTRONICA GROUP as sole supplier for the Spanish and Peru transport network. Latest generation of microwave radio, WDM, auxiliary equipment, network management system and related professional services including the complete network design are part of the supply.

“This multimillion dollar award based on the deployment of an end to end network is very important for the group”

In Spain the new network will modernize the country backbone with high capacity WDM system interconnecting the different electrical substations. The use of microwave radio as spur links is to aggregate lower order traffic as well as offering data services to local offices in the different country locations. In Peru the network extension is based on microwave radio only.

"This multimillion dollar award based on the deployment of an end to end network is very important for the group" says Farid Khanouch, head of sales for Industry and Public Sector in SIAE MICROELETTRONICA, adding "this re-enforces our presence in the energy sector"
