SIAE MICROELETTRONICA ANNOUNCES ITS ALFOPLUS2 XG RF MULTICORE RADIO SYSTEM

Multi-band support, IP-MPLS, 10GbE interfaces enhance the ALFOPlus2 radio system for 5G mobile, service provider and enterprise networks

December 5, 2019, Dallas, TX. - SIAE MICROELETTRONICA, Inc. a leading supplier and innovator of licensed microwave backhaul solutions announced today the availability of its ALFOPlus2 XG microwave radio systems for carriers, service providers and enterprise networks in North America.

SIAE MICROELECTTRONICA’s highly innovative platform, ALFOPlus2 XG achieves the highest throughput available today in a single-all-outdoor microwave solution through the use of RF multi-core technology combined with highly efficient 4096QAM modulation. Supporting independent RF channel bandwidths from 20 MHz to 80 MHz (FCC) or 14 MHz to 112 MHz (ETSI), ALFOPlus2 yields unprecedented microwave radio capacity of 2 Gbps. With integrated XPIC capability, ALFOPlus2 offers flexibility in link planning for congested networks while its unique RF branching system offers simplicity in implementing complex microwave links.

The inclusion of the 10GbE interface simplifies network configuration while maintaining L1 radio aggregation. Ease of installation is provided with a single fiber (SM or MM) connection supporting SFP+.

ALFOPlus2 XG operates in conjunction with our ALFOPlus80HDX 10 Gbps millimeter wave radio system to provide a unique full outdoor multi-band solution for operators, service providers and enterprise users. Multiband Link operation extends e-band connections at multi-mile distances with the augmentation of licensed microwave traffic to maintain high availability connections.

“Integration of Multi-band support with our ALFOPlus80HDX solves carriers and service providers high capacity connectivity needs while adding the reliability of microwave to the link” said Augustino Lucenti, Vice-President of North American Sales for SIAE MICROELETTRONICA. “With the inclusion of 10GbE interfaces and IP/MPLS support, ALFOPLus2 XG further improves the total cost of ownership for our customers and provides a solid platform to build their next-generation networks.
