VODAFONE GROUP awards the “Supplier of the Year” to SIAE MICROELETTRONICA


Milano, February 2014 - SIAE MICROELETTRONICA, a leader in microwave telecommunication, received the prestigious “Vodafone Supplier of the year” award at the end of 2013. This is the third award in four years which Vodafone has given to SIAE MICROELETTRONICA, following the Vodafone “Outstanding Performance Award” in 2010 and 2012.


The Vodafone “Supplier of the Year Award” recognises consistent "good performance" and "continuous collaboration" with Vodafone, coupled with helping Vodafone fulfil its requirements during the 12 month period and proactive behaviour that helps Vodafone optimise its investments.


“We are pleased to give this award to SIAE MICROELETTRONICA. They have demonstrated consistent performance throughout the years as our supplier. Their two previous Outstanding Performance awards and this year’s Supplier of the Year award testify to their commitment towards the Vodafone group,” said Detlef Schultz, Vodafone’s Group supply chain director and CEO of the Vodafone Procurement Company. He added “These are the kind of partners a global telecoms operator like us needs in such a rapidly changing market.”
